This cannot be a coincidence. It was to well thought out. The Basque Separatist (ETA) said that they were not respondsible for this attack. Kind of makes you wonder what is going to happen next.

In comparing the Madrid bombings to the 9-11 terrorist attacks in the United States, there are some numerical ties.

There were 911 days in-between the terror attacks in Madrid and Sept. 11, 2001 -- or 9-11 as it has become known -- when al-Qaida-backed terrorists slammed planes into the Pentagon, a field in Pennsylvania and the World Trade Center towers in New York, destroying them.

The Madrid bombings -- which happened on 3-11 -- also came 2-1/2 years to the day after the 9-11 attacks.

So I'm beginning to think terrorists are obsessive compulsive? :p

It can be a coincedence, and I dont think we should be using numerology to investigate terrorist attacks. Eveything points to Eta, but time will tell I expect.

MSNBC just reported it happend exactly 911 days after 9/11. I wish they would do a simple check of that themselfs before reporting it. It is 912 days....

the BBC were reporting the 911 days thing to, the morning of the bombing I heard that reference on Radio 4.

If there is any significance to it, there are people a whole lot smarter than me that'll assign whatever meaning it has to it. I would imagine that we'll be hearing from every conspiracy theorist out there, before any real corelation is found. 'Till then, it's just a coincidence, as far as I am concerned.

There seems to be a lot of numerology (which is totally bogus), that goes into major al Qaeda attacks. The twin towers looked like the number 11. Plane flight numbers were chosen based on some kind of numerology. Madrid was on 3/11. Apparently, there was a bomb that didn't go off, which would mean 11 explosions were planned.

They do this stuff on purpose.
