I would have voted for Kerry/Clark, but I just don't see that ticket happening.

Kerry Clark would kickass. No way they can say that combo would be "soft on defence"

I would like to see a kerry/clark ticket. I think that would be the best overall.

The fact that he said he would entertain it, rather than outright nixing any possible matchup.
That speaks volumes in itself. Still, I am not interested in voting for a conservative when there is an equally good liberal (Edwards) to vote for.
Though, I do highly respect him for his honesty, integrity, and fairnes. As well as his fairly moderate social stances.

I picked the Kerry/Edwards ticket, but I don't think it will pan out that way. The dirt I hear is that Kerry is not convinced that Edwards is really ready to be president. I don't know that I agree, but that's what I'm hearing.

As far as McCain - I love the guy, he's my Senator and I actually voted for him, but there is NO way he will be on the ticket. He has said, repeatedly, that he is not joining the Democratic party and will not join Kerry if asked. Additionally, he is Co-chair of the Arizona committee to re-elect Bush. He has, however, said that he thinks Kerry is an outstanding individual and a very capable leader and the two are, in fact, good friends.

Interesting that the dems are doing so well. I was always sort of under the impression that there were a lot more conservatives on this forum.

I would love to see a Bush/McCain. I would have loved for McCain to have been in office right now for that matter.

I think any alternative to the Bush regime would be great--but my vote went for Kerry/Edwards

I clicked the Kerry/Edwards radio button, but what I desperately want to see is Kerry/Clinton on the ticket. There are no Constitutional issues, as the Constitution only limits one man from being elected President twice. If he was VP and became President again, it would be through the current President's death, not election.

The Clinton administration was a dream compared to the current administration, aside from a personal scandal that had nothing to do with the way the country was run. Clinton has proved to be fairly strong diplomatically (we certainly didn't have any wars break out while he was in office), so he could be sent to collect some foreign diplomacy feathers for his cap. He has experience in office, and I don't think he'd push his agendas too hard.

I PRAY that Kerry has considered the option.

If only we could use this poll to elect the next president.....life would be so much better.

I respect your right to your opinion BUT...seeing those two names together like that, was frightening...I think I almost had a panic attack.

As much as I liked Clinton, I don't think I would want him to be president at this time (or maybe at all) because of his military job cuts.

I'll say Kerry/Clark. I think that Clark's moderate political views will balance Kerry, and two former servicemen in the White House will (hopefully) get some military pay increases, and sensible spending all around.

Of all the reasons not to like Clinton, this one drives me absolutely up the wall. Bush I started the cuts, and for a VERY good reason: we no longer had 100,000 Soviet tanks staring at us across the German border, and the "peace dividend" simply continued under Clinton.

you know what i really want to see is a bush powel (sp) ticket i think that powel is a very capapble person and should be concodered to take up the head off the ticket after the bush days

Four years ago....I would have agreed, Powell was a great man. Unfortunately, he seems to be losing his integrity on a daily basis since this administration began to get caught in lies, as he is forced to back them or lose any power he has.....pity.

Powell does not want to be president, so I doubt he would want to run as vice-president. He doesn't want his personal life pryed into to the degree that happens in a presidential race, and I think his wife is afraid that, as the first black president, he would be a huge assassination target. So much as I like Powell more then Cheny, not gonna happen.
