Red versus Blue (Spy vs. Spy)

http://www.fundrace.org/moneymap.php...em&zoom=County

An interesting map, on the countylevel, of where the money comes from. I'd like to see different maps showing donations of less than $50, $51 to $100, $100 to $1000, and corporate giving.

And as usual they don't have Alaska or Hawaii on the map.

That's pretty cool. Is anyone surprised by some of the info there?

And for a good laugh, check out Carol Moseley Braun's map...

One could fashion an argument in support of the electoral college from this data.

From Despair.com's e-mail reminder, I give you:

* Seriously Hawaii and Alaska, don't email us your complaints about feeling left out. You can take comfort in your beautiful scenics and year-round mild temperatures, or alternatively in your state oil dividends... You won't get an ounce of pity from anyone here in Texas at Despair Inc. The scenery is brown and flat, it's over 100 degrees for like 14 months out of the year, and the last time we had oil money, it was still cool to put UFOs on album covers. So just DEAL WITH IT!

Most definitely. This is the reason for an electoral college. Candidates would only need to cater to population masses instead of different regions. The entire midwest would more or less be useless to a candidate and their votes wouldn't matter, so their issues wouldn't matter.

More like: One could fashion an argument in support of campaign finance reform from this data.

Gotta love that area in New Mexico that seems to have funded about a dollar to Al Sharpton's campaign.
