Real Time Election Results
 
Political Wire will have live election results for the presidential race as well as all House and Senate races....state by state, county by county, starting at 6:00 pm in IN and 7:00 in VA...two states where early results may or may not be a predictor of things to come.

I agree on the unreliability of exit polls, but these arent exit polls. They will be the results reported by county election officials.

What we should see in each state/county as soon as the polls close (or shortly after) is, at the very least, the release of the results of the early voting in that state.

yeah I wasn't meaning these were exit polls..this just seemed like a good thread to remind people how unreliable they are ;)

Duly bookmarked. Nice to have all the information aggregated together instead of chasing around for it. This reminds me that I need to bookmark my county elections results page, as we have a bond issue up. I took a peek at the Oregon Secretary of State's website this morning; as of Sunday 55% of ballots in Oregon had been returned, and according to the Oregonian (quoting the Secretary of State), 63% of ballots had been returned by Monday afternoon. Our Secretary of State is saying he expects this election's turnout to beat the 86.5% record turnout of the election of 1960. Our average turnout, since switching to vote-by-mail, is 80%. I wonder how much of our vote will have been counted by the time the boxes close at 8pm.

owl...I'm interested in the Oregon ballot issue that will do away with partisan primary elections....having all candidates on one primary ballot, with the top two advancing to the general election, even if they are from the same party.

Nah... we're still listed as "still voting".
And you only have to sign up if you want to refresh the page or whatnot.
It's just an email address and a password. Didn't have to do anything else.
You can personalize and pick your state's races as well as the presidential.
And some of the Props, too.
