Cool caps man, gotta love the fat drops, capture nice thats for sure.
|
Thanks bernie!
You've got a true artisans eye. I don't see enough of your images, but when I do, I certainly can feel what you're trying to say. xo joe |
I love the rainbow shots. very cool...
|
Great shots, as always. Thanks for sharing.
|
great pics Bern!!
All we get in February here is snow. |
cool rainbow pics
|
I love the first one. I cant help but feel sad when I see it.
|
Yes the first one is tops, really it just sort of stretchs on infinitely with like the above poster said, a sad feel.
|
It just goes to show that the best pictures usually come from the simplest of ideas!

Really nice shots!
The 3rd one really grabbed me. It's got all the elements of winter in the leaveless trees, and the misty mountain in the background with the stormcloud rolling off to the left of the picture make a perfect mood piece. (#4 has some sexual overtones to me, but hey, that's just me.) |
1, 2, & 4 are my favorites. Thanks, what kind of lens.
|
you people. i loves ya.
thanks for the kind words. glad you enjoyed my simple snapshots. :) paddyjoe, you always says encouraging nice things to me. <3 tropic, i bow to you as well. Billy Ocean, i have an old simple digital camera. it's an olympus C-4040 3.3 built in lens w/some zoom & macro capability, but not all that much for either. but it's better than nothing! i just point & shoot. i'm not much savvy about photography outside of frame composition. :D |
Bern, those pictures are really cool. thanks for the feedback. I'm new to photoshop... how did you add the white border? I love it.

Billy Ocean:
i open up a new file that is 20 pixels less than my photo both width & height. fill with white (or whatever color you wish). select all. copy. close file. paste ontop my photo. load selection. modify > contract by 2 pixels. cut. voila! :) paddyjoe: :icare: |
Thanks bern... is that in photshop? Is the new file a new layer? Sorry for the newbie questions just reall admiring what you did with the photos.
|
yes, photoshop.
the 20 smaller pixel file is a new window actually. cmd N. then when you paste it in your photograph window, it will paste as a new "layer". |

Here's a link of how i have my action tool now to create a frame around all pictures taken with my 20D Camera. http://www.trentchau.com/actions.jpg You can tell it to always make a border that size and also to put the text in what ever location you want. results end up with something like this http://www.trentchau.com/actions1.jpg This is before I use the tool, it's a standard image at 3504x2336 that hasn't been converted yet. Now I just press that one button and http://www.trentchau.com/actions2.jpg This happens instantly. It resizes it to 1024 width creates the border, creates the text and posistions both exactly where it should be. It also creates that transparent border. Try out recording actions, it makes your life a lot easier. If you notice I also have a thumbnails action. |
