Composition Ideas?
The sky has just bee AWESOME lately as I pull into my neighborhood after school and class.
An example from tonight: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../sunset002.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../sunset001.jpg I think the second one would be really nice to frame if I could get the light pole out of the way. I'd like to try and get some more shots this week, but can't seem to be able to capture the colors and get a decent ground for the picture as well. Does anybody have any ideas for composition? I thought about getting on top of the roof to my house, but sometimes by the time I get up there the color is gone. |
You gotta try and keep it simple, amonkie. Don't clutter up your forground with so much stuff. For instance, in the first pic, there are two very interesting trees that could be isolated and shot against that beautiful sky.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/08...nset002new.jpg It's up to you to figure out how and where to move to do that. Sometimes your best compositional tools are your feet. (you can break in those slick brown boots too) :D |
Thanks for the tips, paddyjoe- Those two were taken about 500 feet from each other, and I trust your eyes :) I'll definitely keep the simple tip in mind- I do notice I can never decide what to focus on sometimes, and end up trying to get it all. Doesn't always work.
