I have posted some kite aerial pictures here before and everyone seemed to like them. So here are some new ones.

pretty cool...
were you standing on something... or was the camera on a kite? |
Thats cool! Was it like kite-fest or something, or just an ordinary saturday?

awesome shots!!
ive been wanting to strap my canon s400 to a kite and shoot some pics... i have most of the RC equipment already that i can use to trigger the cam but i just havent had the time lately. i hope to have a rig setup by spring... do u have any shots of your rig?? |
Great shots...how exactly do you fire your camera on a kite?
|
What a tangled mess that place could become... oh and good shots!

heres a pic of his rig i found on the site.... very nice!!
---from website---- http://www.kiteseyeview.com/images/method/rig.jpg http://www.kiteseyeview.com/images/camraclose.jpg The Cradle is made from sheets of aluminum and aluminum tubing. The cradle can rotate 360 degrees around and 90 degrees up and down. All of these controls are done using servos from a remote controlled airplane. The servos turn the gears which in turn moves the cradle in any direction. One of the servos is used for the shutter. The control stick on the radio can be moved to take the photo. The camera I use most often is a Sony DSC-P72 digital, shown in lower picture. The other camera is a Pantex 35mm. I don't like using it as much as the cost of developing can get expensive. Both cameras however are extremely light weight, making it easier for the kite to lift them. ---/from website---- this is definitely something i want to try very soon and hopefully ill have images to share once spring rolls around again.. |

Checked out your site, cool :)

About how much does it run to set something like that up (The harness, appropriate kite, remote, and anything else)? That might be interesting for winter photography here in Minnesota...the wind can really kick up out here.
