Some sculptures around town. The "8" and the Foam People are temporary installations while the Fu Dogs which guard the Fullerton Hotel and the metal fish (found outside the Central Mall near Clarke Quay) are not.

Some shots from our recent trip to Hanoi
 My Mom posing with a hat.  I love how the blue of her shirt is reflected throughout the scene... this was just luck.  Another from the same street.  Shoes!  From a wall in a "secret" cafe...  Coming home from dinner one night we came upon this blacksmith. The street was dead except for him...  We took a trip to Halong Bay and this is the view from the summit of Titop Island. Our boat was the one on the right.  Some enterprising ladies sidled up to our boat to sell us shells and pearls...  Casting cool shadows in Surprise Cave.  Detail on a statue in a park.  Eating crickets with my Mom... like one does when they hang out with their Mom.  Trishaw at dusk...  From the bus on the way to Halong Bay. Certain stretches were lined with ladies selling fresh bread. The Vietnamese have mastered the art of good French bread. I really wanted to stop and buy some.  The milk man.  This doesn't really show it well but it gives you an idea of the chaos of wires strung throughout the streets of Hanoi.

I just wish I could have held it a little more steady so the rider on the right was just a little more crisp. I was sitting in a trishaw myself at the time so it was tricky to capture in the low light.

Was in Hong Kong recently...
This was the view from my hotel  Odd little bits of public art... it's called The Meeting  Looking up from the highway.  Mmm smoggy goodness.  Some shots of the bridges on the way to the airport.     Bonus... this wasn't in HK but rather in front of my wife's school.
