Amateur
Still very, very much an amateur at Photoshop. Nevertheless, I like to play and see what I come up with.

|
i like the second one alot, very subtle
|
well, i like the "pastellated" one, whatever that may be ... the 4th one anyway
loving your work Ruprex :) |
All good there.
|
nice..........i like to mess w/ my pics too......see what we can get outta them.
thanx |
All nice renditions Rup. Couldn't really pick a favorite if I tried. Always fun seeing what the 'ruprex eye' sees next.
Hey man, you a dad yet or what? |

hell ya'.......sup wit dat Rup.......fill us in man. |
Enoyed them all. I have both Photoshop 7.0 and Paint Shop Pro 7.0 and find that I use the PSP more than the PS. PSP is much quicker loading on my computer and I guess I've just used it so much more that I'm just more comfortable with it. Amazes me about $60.00 software vs. $600.00 software.

Thanks for asking 'bout my baby girl, Kennedy Amanda. She'll come into this world around September 16th. and, to make matters better, daddy has made sure she'll be born a Texan rather then a freakin Long Islander!
|
Alright, brother rup. Much more pleasant accent
September's a great month. Some wonderful people were born in that month. :D |
Thanks a bunch! Indeed, September babies ROCK! :D
I appreciate "y'all" askin, btw! |
hey ruprex, that 4th one with the watercolor filter would make a real nice greeting card.
throw some special text on the inside for whatever occasion. screw hallmark! a ruprex card would be 1,000 Xs better. :) don't forget to put a little ruprex logo on the back side. :D ah september, good time for your wife to give birth. things starting to cool off, but not too cold yet for baby. when's the big move to TX? |
I really like the last of the set of flower photos, the one that looks like a water colour. It really suits the subject.
thanks! |
second one has a neat vibe to it
but the rest seem too ordinary and overfiltered... anyone can use a filter in photoshop you know? |

Sorry for the delay.. as you can tell by my newest post, I was a bit busy and couldn't get to the board. I'll be moving to TX starting across the US of A August 4th. Wanna come? ;-) |
i'm really good about helping people move, carrying boxes, etc, but....sorry. august 4th is my wedding anniversary, so i'd best stay here with the hubby that day. :)
i'll be thinking of ya though! whenever we fly to indiana to visit our friends & family, we almost always have a layover in dallas, since we always fly american airlines & dallas is their main hub. maybe next i trek across the country, i can plan a long enough layover that we can meet for lunch? how close will you be to dallas? |
Part of what I get paid for is some Photoshop work. I think no one is a master at using it - or else everyone is. It's that sort of thing - a stupendous tool that has hundreds of thousands of person-hours behind it and a big team of people creating and evolving it.
Your stuff is excellent because the imagery that's behind it is excellent, Ruprex. Thanks for your great contribs! |
you're right, ARTelevision. photoshop is a complex powerful tool.
myself, i know just enough to get by, but i'll be continuing to learn how to better use this awesome tool probably forever here on out. ruprex takes great photos. seeing his explorations in photoshop is just a bonus. |
Too kind, both of you.
Bern, I'll be about 6 hours from Dallas...so, we might just have to meet up at a get-together. Either way, it's a pleasure conversing with you here :D |
