How to tell when you failed the attitude test
A drunk kid flew a car into a house. Then he made some more bad decisions after the cops arrived. I really like the way this picture turned out:

This reminds me of a news item I saw years ago where a police spokesman from somewhere American was giving a press conference about a criminal who had been shot an outrageous number of times, and in answer to the question "Sir - why did you shoot the man 124 times?", officer Bubba drawled "Wheeell, mya'am - dem's all da bullits we gone had wid us".

Actually, I gotta give the cops credit on this one. They showed more restraint than I would have. The guy earned himself a beatdown, or at least a face full of pepper spray. But the cops pretty much sat on him until he wore himself out.

That first shot is a great photojournalism shot.

That top picture is something else.
Remind me never to move to Davis. |

While the first pic is a story unto itself, greatness, I really love the look of the last pic; it seems to have everything going for it: a disaster area, a sports tie-in (via the basketball jersey), a good shot of another photographer (creepy or not), and what seems to be a tiny bunny or cat in the front yard completely oblivious to what had transpired earlier.

Where do you see a bunny/cat? The white thing?
Looks like a piece of broken something or other. |

Hey it's a Volvo, so of course, he survives. :)

Awesome top pic. I just wanted to say I lol'd at the "no parking" sign.

THere's a dude taking a picture of you from the house in the last one.

I like that's there's already "caution tape" in the room above the jersey. Maybe the residents knew something bad was going to happen.
As for the actions of the officers on scene.. no way to tell from the photo. But until you work in an occupation where you come in contact with drunk/high people on a regular basis who seem bent on sending you home with some major injuries I wouldn't be too quick to judge. |
