Oh, I am so going to see the Baha'i Temple when we go in July!
RJ looks like you had fun exploring Chicago. |

Now that I can more clearly see the building you were asking about Saturday night, this is the Wrigley Building. It's actually white, which is probably why we were confused trying to think of a gold building... I'm guessing you took that picture around dusk? :) I didn't realize you guys made it to the Baha'i Temple :) Star, just so you know, it's about 2 hours from McCormick Place via public transportation. We can probably work something out though since ono and I have a car :) (cuts it down to 30-45 minutes) |
You have an eye for good composition. Some great photos RJ. Chicago looks interesting :)
|
needs more RJ in them :p

The Chicago style hot dog is pretty nasty. I never understood the reasoning behind putting both relish and a pickle on a sausage. And it needs ketchup.
Good shots. Glad you made it to the temple. One of my favorite spots. |
Star, the weekend you're here, I may also grab a rental car myself to help get us around with limited time. I live about a 20 min train from the temple!

Some hot dog spots in Chicago refuse to put ketchup on a hot dog even if you specifically ask. Some places make you go to the end of the line if you even ask, and tell you to try again. At least one place refuses to serve you. <---from the outer reaches of the Chicago burbs Cool shots RJ, too bad you weren't here in spring/summer, the lake always seems so much prettier then. It seems that you enjoy architecture too, from those shots. If you ever come back in nicer weather, you should take one of the boat tours of Chicago architecture on the Chicago River. :) |
You did a great job capturing the spirit of Chicago!

Ketchup and sausage go together like PB&J. It just makes sense. |

Very nice job. Great photos of the Lake.
I lived just north of Chicago for a while in the 70's attending school and took some of the "same" photos back then on film with the old Nikons. The Lake was one of my favorite subjects. I'll stay out of the hot dog/ketchup debate. I much prefer Polish sausage, thank you very much. dan |

I must be the anti-Christ to these people. :) |
My co-worker puts mayo on hot dogs and sushi and dips fries in it as well.
You're not that bad, Toaster. |
