Nice relaxing sunset/sky pics
Sunday was such a nice day out. Later after Sam went home, I did some laundry and took some pics! The sky was so pretty, and there were some unusual shaped clouds. Just sharing, no constructive criticism needed. :)
One of the views from my deck: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3313/...2f17ea7e_o.jpg This was taken looking straight up. Strange, straight clouds: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3411/...594fab26_o.jpg I liked the shapes and colors of these clouds: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3557/...3a9526dc_o.jpg Sunset (we've had better): http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3564/...d65e5dc3_o.jpg Another shot of those straight clouds: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3631/...4724707c_o.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3360/...b73eaec2_o.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3637/...00217523_o.jpg |

they are all very beautiful. I like them very much. :)
|
The third picture really has my attention, though they're all lovely.
The area around the sun in the third picture expresses so much energy, and that energy creates a barrier of contrast between the dark clouds above and the darker houses below. There's something balanced about it. Great job! |
Nice images, Sue.
I like the first one best. The strong colors of the apartments and the white outlines of the windows compliment the sky. dan |
All were very good but the last one was exceptional.
|
I think I like the one with the church best.
|
Very cool, thanks for sharing.
|
i really do like the last one. something about dark clouds that i find intruiging
|
Thanks for the compliments everyone :) I've got 2 more from today and one from last week I'd like to share.
The white blur you see in the sky was an airplane. I liked the silhouette of the church and the sky's colors here. http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/members...rch-shadow.jpg An explosion behind the mountains: http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/members...-mountains.jpg I guess I'm just a fan of clouds? The very bottom part of these clouds reminded me of a flock of birds for some reason: http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/members...ese-clouds.jpg |
nice stuff sue! keep 'em coming
i took sunset pics the other day taht looked amazing....looked around for a sunset thread..is there one around? i'd love to have a thread going where people share their sunsets. |
Beautuful shots sue, very nice.
A sunset thread. Yes. We need a good title. Perhaps we could call it 'Sunset Boulevarde.' |
These are nice. I remember when I first found out about how clouds can classified into types and all the interesting names they had.
Cumulonimbus, Nimbostratus, Cirrus. I like clouds too :) I wonder what those long ones are called... |
They are called lenticular clouds, and are very interesting clouds indeed. They get me excited - years ago when I flew gliders, the sight of wave clouds on the lee side of my mountains meant I would soon be riding nature's up elevator. Got a bit past 16,000 once before the lack of onboard oxygen forced a descent.

I love sky photos; here's a few of my own:

Nice photos! But why are some photos blurred? Because it is zoomed? But I like the pictures, Very relaxing.. Good job!
