Photo Challenge - Macro Shots
 

I took theses two photos this morning for a challenge in a photography group I am participating in and I thought I would carry it over here. It's a macro group and the challenge was 'textures'...but for the purposes of this thread we will expand it to include any macro shot - macro defined as any capture that comes close to or magnifies the actual size of what is being photographed.

And just to be clear, the photos submitted should be taken for this challenge and not pics that you have in your files. Pick up your camera and go get 'em. :)

Okay....this shall be fun and instructive, I am still becoming aquainted with
the new digital (my first digital) camera.

A few hours ago I went to the store to get cigs.
There is a large metal scupture, created by a local artist/philanthropist,
who built the apts., where I live.
I love rust.

And these photos do not have to be about textures. Any macro shots will do.

The Nikon 55mm micro lens I won on Ebay for $20 just arrived today. I'm going to have to get stuck in.

Excellent contributions! Thank you, Bacchanal. I especially like the change in a glass, great idea. If you look at it long enough it starts to look like a pile of change sitting on top of a glass volcano...or maybe that's just me.

This is how plants roll in my house-- covered in dust and animal fur.

Here is a bud on one of Mrs. C4Fan's cactus plants.

Note the tiny drop of cactus juice in the middle and the baby thorns on the right edge.
