scenes from an alleyway
 

Sanford, FL - January 30, 2009

Sanford is a town that demands vignettes - at least, I was seeing vignettes in my head while I was observing it. It was wet and rainy and cold. Sanford is a very attractive town, but I got a strange thrill walking through this dirty, delapidated alleyway (surprise!) - like I was expecting to run into Joseph Cotten or Marlon Brando in a trenchcoat at any moment...

it was an odd little set-up to come across...i love it when the consequences of neglect become artful...it's what I am constantly looking for. Luckily for me we are a neglectful sort.

I agree for the vignettes. Contrasted with the highlights and bright whites it gives the images as surreal and dreamlike quality. I love this one:
