Flowers and the Bee
I was trying to catch the bee at some fo these flowers. Not easy with your standard commercial digital camera. Some turned out nicely.

thousands of bees on this plant! xoxoxoo |
These are great! I love bees. We chose most of the plants in our garden (including bee balm) because the bees love them. It's so nice to sit and watch them get completely covered in pollen as they work.

So late in the season and still more buds: http://byfiles.storage.live.com/y1pV...i378QipNS88ZK4 http://byfiles.storage.live.com/y1pQ...tVRFjQyi03kaQI The leaves are starting to turn. I am going to try to remember to take another picture soon to show the change in color: http://byfiles.storage.live.com/y1pz...-OJuUfBwdO6F-R And a wasp: http://byfiles.storage.live.com/y1p6...R5YnJFE_j66d4g http://byfiles.storage.live.com/y1pa...PObJRwHdRZrRzg |

Sticky, bobby, and curiousbear... all fantastic photos!! Love the bright colors in the last few posts, especially. Makes me really miss a place with serious summer temperatures and colors... though I don't really miss bees, I can appreciate that they make the world go 'round with their hard work. :)

bees are good to catch in camera for two reasons. They are small and elegant and hence you want to take a MACRO shot! Mostly they are on flowers so the back ground is too good. second reason is that they are very brisk with movement and hence challenging to catch.
Spiders are easy. Bees and Hummingbirds are great. I havent caught a humming bird on camera yet. Will try some very soon. Thanks Abaya, your appreciation makes me feel so good. |
