stinkbug.
thats what I call em anyway. if you pick em up, they basically fart, and it's nasty. |

I guess there are like 80+ variations of em, they all smell bad. if you kill em, or if you disturb them, they just really like to fart all over the place. |
Oh that's too funny. Luckily it didn't put up a big "stink" for me :p Interesting creature though, but wish my deck wasn't all mottled-looking, otherwise it may be more clear to see the bug.

Actually, that looks more like a Western conifer seed bug, AKA leaf-footed bug

Hm. Maybe they're related to each other? They look similar. |
hrm, i think you're right actually.
funny, they both have a paragraph basically saying the exact same thing about them, the beak and such. the stink... etc... *scratches head* my impatient side wants to say "WHO CARES?! IT'S A BUG, GET IT AWAY FROM ME, BURN IT!" oh wait, I don't currently have another side available :p |
Leaf-footed bugs and stink bugs are very closely related. That is a leaf-footed bug.
Also, your deck's pattern gives me a headache. |
My first reaction was:
"Ahh! Stinkbug! Don't touch it!" |
