Mission Snapshots
 

We went to San Xavier mission last weekend. It is just south of Tucson. I have never been to a mission before. I was taken aback at the beautiful artwork that we saw inside the church. It's hard to believe that a place that did such unspeakable things could be so breathtaking.

JJ posted a picture of Jesus on the cross, but I had to share the other art and statues. My photos are nothing compared to his. He's the photographer and I'm the snapshooter. ;)

I think your interior shots turned out much better than mine. Mine aren't postable.

Wonderful! I spent a week going from mission to mission in NM last year, but unforunately, most of them were closed.
