I'm so glad you got this lens.

Wonderful pictures - I can't wait to see what you'll come up with.

Hey thanks UT. Here are a couple more from this weekend:

That new lens is fine. Those first two shots are unbelievable. Sharp focus and yet somewhat distorted with the wide angle. SFW (safe for work) eye candy.

Thanks. :)

I thought, "What an opportunity to capture such monuments!"

Then I remembered you are not too far off from The Strip.
Still, I do like the Fountain/Eiffel Tower combo.

Hopefully in due time, I'll to you for tips. Until then, sandman, please continue to showcase your stunning 'third eye' of the world, and I'll continue to admire them. :surprised:

man, that lens is tack sharp. Nice one.

I love the 12-24 lens. It's lots of fun. The second image is a really cool shot. Nice work on all of them. :)

Konichiwaneko 09-25-2007 08:11 PM

12-24 is awesome, I haven't used it on my 5d yet but on my 20d back in the day it was great.

May think about picking up one soon.

Nimetic 10-12-2007 03:43 AM

That first shot is amazing. Very nice.

Great pics. The color of the blue sky is amazing in the 2nd picture. Were you using a filter?

Also, refresh my memory...what kind of camera do you have? I just picked up a Nikon D80 and need to start playing with it...

oddtrend 10-13-2007 01:44 PM

Wow, those are sharp. Sweet dude (I wish I could contribute more than that but I'm not the brightest crayon in the box when it comes to photography)

ogra 10-27-2007 12:58 PM

I love these. I kind of dabble in photography and seeing shots like these make me want to get right into it.

Thanks!

That blue sky is all lens, no filter. It's something that this Tokina 12-24 just does to the sky.

I'm using a D50.

I love the crispness of the images. Really professional looking stuff.

That lens takes some incredible pics - If you don't mind me asking - How much does one of those set someone back?

A Tokina 12-24 f/4 is about $500.

Here's a good review of it and some other wide zoom lenses. http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/digi...comparison.htm
