Helpful photography guides etc?

As some may have noticed, I'm trying to get more into photography and I was reading something yesterday about the Orton Effect which really looks awesome, I'm going to play around with that and was wondering if anyone knew of any good books / online guides about photography etc. They can be for photoshop (ie: photo manipulation after the fact) or just plain old photography help. Thx for any input.

I'm probably just going to keep typing until I run out of things to babble about and see how many people actually read this. I once ran down a hill, fell down and hurt my elbow; my mom said I would be ok, she kissed it and made it all better. I've run out of things to say now, so if you have read this whole thing, congratulations you get a gold star!

Bryan Peterson wrote a few books that you might find helpful for photography.

Understanding Exposure
Learning to See Creatively
Beyond Portraiture

Well I don't know if this will apply to you since you are probably using digital cameras but for film I have found a lot of information on www.digitaltruth.com.

Anyone who uses film will find that useful.

As far as digital goes...hm..can't find that link. I'll have to go look and I'll be back if I find it.
