Oh man, we were there (or within a few miles) exactly a year ago... Memorial Day weekend camping trip around Delaware and Jersey. Is that sun and sand I see?... damn, makes me a little homesick. :(

That last shot could be in a "Visit NJ" brochure, beautiful colors and the lighting is great. Makes me want to go to the beach right now. (Stupid work)

I love Jersey =) Ever taken shots down at the old Sandy Hook armory? Some of those old bunkers and gun turrets are chilling.

Went there about 20 years ago and took tons of pix, but I suspect most are losing their colorations by now...my riding buddy and I are discussing spending a day there soon. The old officers' houses are fascinatingly beautiful, even in their delapidated state. You can feel the ghosts.

The houses, I believe, were just refinished a few years ago, they are trying to keep it a historical site. But the old gun turrets and bunkers have kept pretty well, not much vandalism. I used to ride down there a lot when I had the time, now its only once or twice a year :grumpy:

For the record - I like the 2nd and 3rd pics most. It'd be interesting to see these in 'big' and to sorta then take a step back. These'd look good I think on a wall.

lighthouses will evoke from me a sense of awe and wonderment for reasons unknown to me.
