Great shots GK. What are the names of the buildings (aside from the Eiffel Tower)?

That first one puts any building I have seen stateside to shame.

Thanks for sharing. I really like the Eiffel Tower shot. Generally you see the canned full sunset or sunrise shots, but with that mist and the hill coming down the side it give is a nice mysterious quality.

One or more of those is Versailles, I'm sure.

Yeah... I guess we're on the Northwest side of the Tour Eiffel, looking down the reflecting pool garden of La Palais de Chaillot? It seems awfully populous in this shot! Is there some sort of event going on?

Thank you for all of your kind comments everyone.

The first picture is of Château de Chambord Castle located in Loire Valley, France.
The second picture is of Villandry Castle located in Loire Valley, France.
The third picture is of Chenonceau Castle located in Loire Valley, France.

I happened to be there on July 14 which is Bastille Day, the French Independence Day; hence the fireworks on the tower. I took a lot more pictures, I'll post them if you'd like.

Boo. My High School French teacher (Monsieur Doug) would be very disappointed in me. We did a lot of work on French culture, especially architecture and history. I remember his slides of each of those Chateaux.

Nice shots GK!

The photos of thoses spectacular castles brings to mind something my wife said when we visited Versailles: "Boy, if there was ever a country that needed a revolution..."
