Photo Assignment - 04 August 2006 - Weather

Here is your next photo assignment, should you choose to accept it.

Weather...

Give us a photo of something weather related...

Don't forget to add in suggestions for next week's assignment...

The Guidelines:

Pictures
**How you interpret the theme is entirely up to you.
**Pics should be taken during the assignment period not just yanked out of your portfolio.
**Pics should be 800*600 pixels My Windows XP photoresizer tutorial: http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showpos...1&postcount=11
**We're looking for natural images. Some post processing is ok (colour correction, redeye reduction, contrast etc), but no gross manipulation, on occasion we will have an assignment that calls for differing kinds of manipulation. However, for the most part, think "natural."
**Give your photo a title, it just sounds cooler that way.
**Remember the basic rules of Tilted Photography and the TFP: http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthread.php?t=46601

Comments

**Comments have to (and this part is critical) have substance. -----That is to say; "That foto r0xxor!!," just ain't gonna cut it.
Think more along the lines of:
-----That photo would be better if....
-----That subject's eyes would be better lit if you did....
**Comments should have a constructive edge to them, we're trying to improve here not just stroke each other's egos (but do be nice).
**Please comment on as many photos as you can, prefereably every one. No one likes to feel left out.
**After making your comment please make suggestions for next week's assignment. I will take all the suggestions and select one randomly and/or at the suggestion of the community.

**My overiding vision for this game/exersize/whetever, is to improve our skills as photographers. Regardless of your skill or ability we want everyone to contribute.**
**This is an experiement, the processes and guidelines are up for debate**

PLEASE DON"T FORGET TO ADD IN YOUR SUGGESTION FOR NEXT WEEK'S ASSIGNMENT...
Thanks

Have fun

Great shots guys!

I really need to get a camera... you wouldn't believe how frustrating it is to see all this new matieral and not be able to take shots... we had a storm roll through here and it would have made a great picture.

...but you will have to trust me on this.

Nice work both of you guys,

Flyman: That photo is serenic, though the electrical wires seem to stick out like a sore thumb. Otherwise, it's beautiful.

paddyjoe: I like the idea you're conveying here with the distorting the perspective. It makes the grass is going uphill. The sun needed to be in the picture, but its rays seems a bit too fuzzy or weird on the right side. I guess it takes some time to try out different angles with the sun.

Hope to see more photos around here.

Regards,
keyshawn

These latest ones are great but Stan's Imminent Rain is my favorite. I'd love to have a larger size of that for a wallpaper. The rain is imminent, but in the end, in the far corner, it looks like everything will be okay. It reminds me of Donny Darko quite a bit.

the_marq, is that rolling hills or actually a body of water in the background ? I like how the sun plays with that.

Kudos to everyone for their submissions.

Summer draws to a near. Skies aren't all blue & clear now. Which is fine by me!
