I'm a Daddy!

Katherine Rose was born on Sunday. 7lbs, 10 oz. With a full head of dark hair, she takes after her beautiful mother.

But damn, she's a lot of work! Who knew?

It's all worth it though, she is everything we hoped for and more.

Yay! Love the name, congrats :D

the_marq 11-02-2004 12:45 PM

Congratulations!

Good choice of name too. Too many people would have gone with Kathyryn or some weird stuff like that.

Nice job... and best of luck.

GREAT - Many congratulations. I have a lovely daughter, just 1, who is called Caitriona - the Irish equivalent of Katherine :)

It is a lot of work, but for sure is worth it x 100!!!

Congrats! Kids are wonderful, but the work and worry never stops. It's all worth it as I'm sure you know now.

Thanks everyone! It's been a great ride so far. And thanks for the compliments on the name, too. We really liked it and hoped others would take notice of it as well.

I have to say, the hospital staff were excellent. Every doctor and nurse was professional and considerate.

She's home now and is actually sleeping - which is a new thing for her!

I whipped home yesterday to feed the cats and grab a couple of things to bring back to the hospital and had Guns and Roses on the the CD player - Sweet Child of Mine came on and I started bawling. I'm 36 and haven't cried like that since I was a kid. It just hit me how lucky we are to have her.

Congrats! Our little boy is 4 months old. Don't worry it gets easier as they get more sleep :)

MikeyChalupa 11-03-2004 04:12 AM

Congratulations! Your life as you knew it is now over, and your new, fascinating, scary, rewarding, frazzled, proud, and wonderful new life has begun.

The best piece of advice I got was to keep your relationship with your wife strong. Make time for her, after all she was there first and you'll need that bond to get through hard times when they inevitably arise. It will also make the high times even better.

Good luck, and congrats again!
