Agree or not?
Men use love to get sex,
Women use sex to get love. Somewhat cynical, but yes I think it can be true. Not all the time, but cetainly does happen. |
It can be true like you said...
But it wasn't in my case. I made sure the love was there first. |
Men use just about anything to get sex. Women too. They're just much more subtle about it. The ones who care about their image, anyway.

I'm very certain there are a LOT of guys out there who have said/say "I love you" just to get in a ladies pants. And unfortunately there are a lot of women out there who figure if a guy does her that means he loves her....uhhhh nope!
|
I'll agree with that. A little while ago, I had an ex call me and ask if I wanted to hook up. We did, and after a few days after that, she told me it was because she needed to feel that someone loved her.
Both sexes do it for their own reasons, and this hits it on the head. |
bah.
may hold tru for many people, but i personally think it's BS. |
It doesn't matter what statement you put up in here, you are going to get some people agreeing with it. However, a statement like that is way to broad and stereotypical and is not one to judge life, love or sex over. Some will say yes, some will say no, but you'll never get a "correct" answer from it.

Sex is Sex
Love is Love Completely different things, using one to get another will get you burned. But when they meet, the cooking is just right.;) |
great sex is a bonus that comes with great love. It is abused by alot of people and that's why the word love is the most misused word in the english language. Ironic is the second.
|
I disagree. I think either statement could be used to describe people of both genders. Now, there may be a difference in the proportions who fit into each category between the genders. I know that I am seeking love, and the sex that goes with love. I am just to busy to look very hard.
|
Sorry, I'm a guy; a hetrosexual guy, I've got to have loving feeling toward any woman I have sex with; it's just my nature; I'm not the "fuck 'em and chuck 'em" type; that's aused me a great deal of pain over the years though.

Men use money to get sex.
Women use sex to get money. It all goes both ways, unless you actually really care about the person you're with. |
combine the first statement with BoCo's satement and you realize that you have to start making exceptions.
I'm sure both can be applied to about 60% of the population. Those with low self-esteem and poor upbringing. There are, however, a lot of self-respecting individuals who dont trivialize sex. My answer is.. i agree* <--- with an asterisk |
Hmmm,
How about this as a little more general: Women want the one man who can give them everything they want. Men want every woman that can give them the one thing they want. |
Women can fake an orgasm. Men can fake a whole realtionship.
Some women play hard to get while men play hard to want. No, really, gender stereotyping is silly applied to real life, but it is sometimes fun to downgrade to a stage in development when it was "girls versus boys" world. :) |
i agree
|
Men are idiots
Women are crazy hmm...seems to be the same thing. |
agree in MOST cases
|
with all due respect, and with every way I try to say this there is only one answer I can give and be honest.
the thought that men pretend to love to fuck and women fuck to get love is lame. it's ludicrous, it's stereotypical, it's a generalization to the max, it's bullshit. there are a lot of guys who live by that code. but to say they all do is a little pathetic. you're saying that every single dude here has lied to get pussy. that's just wrong. |
overgeneralizing is often misleading.
low-level ideas often fuel humor. humor is also often caustic. the shock of recognition sparked by humorous and caustic overgeneralization is sometimes illuminating and sometimes not. |
ART's johnny on the spot with the good observation here. IT's all fun and games 'til somebody get's a mind put out and starts taking a broad generalization as a picture of reality rather than a myth in the true, anthropological sense - a story that tells you something about what it purports to tell, something about what it says nothing about, and something about the teller of the tale.

I think both can be true or false depending on the people and the situation.
