This shot could not have been taken with an S20 because it requires a rapid zoom while the shutter is open. You can only do that with an SLR camera that has manual zoom.

cool thread. but, i just have to say that that isnt totally true. i took a picture like that using an olympus c3000 zoom one night in full auto mode. all you need is a slow shutter speed (i was shooting at night) and i took it while kind of falling towards the subject.

regardless....these are totally fake, and this is fun.

I think if they took the Blair Witch Film, gutted it, and just replaced it with an hour and a half of these images. Maybe spice it up with the Doom 3 Head image, you might be able to send a few more kids running to the bathroom of the theater shamefully covering their urine stained trousers. You know, instead of leaving the theater angry and 6 dollars poorer

I don't know a whole lot about the S20, but couldn't that blur effect be acheived by having a long exposure time while zooming? This would then increase the credibility of the story, but not by much...

There's also a photoshop filter that can achieve a very similar (if not identical) result.

There's absolutely no doubt that these photos are staged, but they're still cool as fuck and that's good enough for me.

Well at first look the pictures of the old tower and building are very cool but the pictures with the supposed people in them are ridiculous .
