Time wierdness
Im not one that is usually all that worried about the time, but more often than not, when i look at a clock, the time reads 11:19. It doesnt matter if its AM or PM. This makes me wonder if this time is going to have any significance in my life... perhaps when i'll die, or some other major event will happen. My question to everyone is this: Does anyone else experience this, or have an explanation for it?
I think this time is significant to you due to a prior event or events in your life, rather than a prediction into the future. You probably notice it because something important happened to you at the moment in questions.

That happens alot to me. Usually I always end up looking at the clock when the numbers double up. (1:01:01) or (12:12:12) it really is eerie at times, but I've paid no attention it thus far. Really interesting...maybe you are on to something.
I think it's just a matter of perception.
I tend to notice car licese plates that have the '666' sequence in them. I'm sure that just as often I see a '555' or '333' but just never take note. BTW, the time I always see on clocks is 11:04. Significant to me becuse that was my employee ID # for a company I worked for in the 90's. |
Could it by any chance have to do with our "internal clocks"? Maybe our bodies realize the patterns and attract us to them, since those numbers or patterns have some form of significance to us. As you said, the license plate example is a good one.
man... that's trippy because the same thing happens to me at 7:47 and i think it might have some sort of meaning in my life too...
or maybe i just look at the clock alot and dont actually think anything of it unless its 7:47 still... if i died in a plane crash on a 747... that would be weird... |

6:06 - am and pm. There was probably like a 5 month period where i probably didn't look at the clock when it read 6:06 a total of 10 times. Most of my friends know this is "my" time. I get freaked every time i see it.
I wasn't looking for it either. After it happened for like 3 days straight, i just started looking down and sure enough, and i'd scream "God Damnit!!, Fuck!!, What is this shit!!" |
Nearly every day I had chem last semester I would look at my cellphone to see what time it was at 9:31. I'm thinking it's just a coincidence.
I have a tendency to look at the clock when its 11:34 .. Turned around and upside down it spells hell... On the other hand maybe I just look at the clock too much =)
Never experienced that before, but thats really interesting. You DO mean that you look at the clock at a specific time, such as 11:19, rather than just imagine thats what you see?
Got something like that before
I kept waking up at the exact same time, something to do with your internal clock thingy, as said by fierced02. :) |
two days in a row i came home at 4:44 pm:)
any time i look at a digital clock it reads 11:34 which upside down and backwards would read hell. not such a good outlook for me.
any time, eh?
It used to happen to me. I felt as if I was being forced to look though. One time I cought myself and felt as if I was fighting some force to get me to look at the time.
The time was 2:22pm. I think the elect (thoses who can control the energy in the feild about) caused this to happen to me. It hasnt happened anymore though. It was odd because it first started a time after I had a dorm room that was #222. Then later in another state ended up with the same dorm # 222. Those elect were prolly up to a craft of some kind. They are as a secret society amongst. |
you should hit every casino on the vegas strip and bet on anything having to do with 222, might be your lucky number
4:20
The odd thing is,I dont smoke pot(I'm anti-drugs). Just ironic. |
oh my good lord..*jaw drops* lol it's 11:19pm here just as I looked at the clock

when i think of time it makes me think, when the clock says 12:00 thats just what we have been brought up to believe, if way back when it was decided that there are 14 hours in a day or 1 hour is 120minutes not 60 then time would be completly thrown off track.
so who can really say what time it is?? .. well i might just be crazy but what do you think about that one.? |
My birthday is Nov. 11 (11/11), and I always happen to notice it when a clock reads 11:11. My wife and I now do this superstitious thing when we glance at a clock reading 11:11. One of us will say "Eleven eleven" out loud, and the other one must make a silent wish before the clock turns to 11:12.
Wow, my time is 2:32. I thought I was the only person who experiences this.
maybe it's the time at which we will one day die?
Very interesting! I used to wake up at night- for no reason- at 3:10 a.m. It comes and goes, but still happens on occasion. Kinda freaks me out too... always the same time..
My time is either 10:22, which is my birthday. I'm sure that's why I notice it. Or it's 1:15. I think the 1:15 is weird, because it's more of an "exact time". It's never 1:14 or 1:16, though.
I seem to catch 7:47, and 10:29 (my birthday) a lot too...

my thing is 123. Whether its on a tape counter or clock or anything mechanical device. Hasn't happened in a while, but it has happened bloody loads in the last few years. I'll be watching a video and my eyes will jump down to the counter at 1 hours 23 minutes. freaky
You only see 11:19 because that's what your brain chooses to remember. You see a plethora of times, but subconsciously, your brain focuses in on the 11:19. If you were to consciously think about the time whenever you looked at the clock, you'd notice you see more than just 11:19.
