The cat scared me silly
our dog gave to a litter of 10 puppies not too long ago .. we are keeping them at my parents farm in the country.. my dad's shop/barn is at the other end of the property..
little did i suspect.. i walked in the shop to the back and opened the door to get the sack of food for the puppies and the hair stood up on the back of my neck.. sorry.. i tend to be more attuned to my surroundings than most people you would meet. Something was watchin me .. i scanned the small room to no avail.. walking out i heard what i thought was a pupply in destress.. took about 10 min to figure out it was coming from inside the back room. i walked back in a took a cleansing breath and closed my eyes and spun in a slow circle and pin pointed the noise.. above me and over the roof of the interior room.. i managed to climb up all the while that feeling of being watched still there.. i peaked in this box and found 4 kittens.. one of my dads 4 cats had kittens.. just when i let out that pent up breath.. the mother cat appeard outta thin air and hissed.. i have been around animals all my life through all stages of thiers.. never had i encountered a cat that did this.. and ive been around wild cats that have given birth.. i just glared at me hissing every time i moved.. i went to jump down and it almost leaped at me.. but i stopped.. and slowly over the span of maybe 5 min got down to lvl ground.. the cat was about a foot away the whole time.. and moved inch by inch with me.. before i walked out and turned out the light .. i reached down on the counter and pet the cat .. i told her she did a nice job .. and walked out.. the damn cat was still watching me when i got in the car and left.. all i could see was her eyes.. no if that didnt stop my heart for a sec i dont know what else would.. i love animals but i never have been able to 100% trust them... or they trust me heh.. one of those things. |
A long time ago, my cat gave to birth to some kitty. and dog, I think it was a golden retreiver, was walking by with it owner, and my cat just went right for it. I never seen my cat so full of piss and vinegar. I do belive she could of kicked the shit of me, if she wanted too.

cats tend to be extremely protective of their young...our cat gave birth and we left the cats in a box in the corner of our kitchen. the mother cat wouldnt let us into the kitchen for the first couple of days

strange...I remember when my family cat gave birth, we were allowed to play with the kitten. that cat didn't do anything, just laying down, the kitten sucking on the teets and I came over and pet the lil' thing...
My aunt's dog however, ran towards me and bit me! I wasn't even any where near her puppies...that paranoid bitch... |
my cat did allow me to pet the kittens too, we had no problems with that
