Amazon.com downloads
Anyone else using this?
I found it today and I rater like it - totally free and you can download all sorts of stuff. There appears to be a download limit to stop you filling your iPod over your broadband, but it's still a nice way to sample some artists you'd not really buy a CD by. |
Free, you say?
Hmm... *Looks into it* |
is this the 30 preview they give you, or can you actually d/l full songs now?
i use the preview alot.... EDIT: I looked harder on amazon, and found the place where you CAN d/l FULL songs. very cool! |
I've gotten a lot of stuff from them - -they don't update it frequently - but they do have the full songs on there
I don't remember a download limit, but I havent been there in a few weeks - I think I grabbed aobut 100 songs my first trip there.. :) Amazon Download Site http://music.download.com/ is another site that has free downloads - some lesser known bands but they are still good... |
Thanks Mal. I owe you a big wet sloppy kiss. ;)
|
yeah I use it now and then, and a quick shoutout to a great band on the amazon d/l page, go download reconstruction site by The Weakerthan they are awesome.
|
I am using it now! I haven't found a single band I've heard of yet, but I have found some quality tracks.
|
Amazon has an RSS feed for the free downloads. I never checked it out enough to find anything I wanted, so I killed the feed.
|
Carbon Leaf is a great band and they have basically 2 full CD's on here you can download for free. Highly recommended.

From Amazon, I've gotten Fisher, Kristin Banks, and Heather Sullivan -- that I really like- they are kind of chick-ish but they have really pleasant voices... and I like the songs.... (www.garageband.com - has a lot more of their stuff as well)
There's a bunch more I've gotten as well, but without my IPod in front of me, remembering my name is difficult.. |
