maybe a better theme would have been what <i>isn't</i> making you puke right now. There is alot of crap on the radio.. but that never changes so I don't listen to the radio anymore.

I have two for you, the first: the word "Reggaeton."
The company I run shipping and receiving for has three divisions, one of which is a DJ shop, turntables, records, speakers, foggers, etc. There are always a bunch of guys hanging out listening to stuff on the demo tables we have setup, and starting 2 or 3 months ago, they started using the word "Reggaeton" in every single sentence they speak.
"Hey bro, did you get that new Reggaeton beats volume 6 record? It has some sick reggaeton on it."
"No dude, I just picked up Reggaeton remixes volume 3, it's some of the best reggaeton I’ve ever heard in my reggaeton listening life!"
The second, is Billy Ocean's "Caribbean Queen"
Now, I never minded this song, never liked it either, but it certainly didn’t upset me at all. That all changed when I took this job because I quickly figured out that they must only play about 5 songs on that piped-in hold music (three of which are Billy Ocean's "Caribbean Queen"). I spend a lot of my day on the phone with our distributors, and I swear to god, I hear that song at least partially upwards of 5 times a day.

I keep hearing about Modest Mouse so I get home Sat night and they're on Austin City Limits or something and I did not like it at all. I tried to find something interesting about it to no avail. I had to change the channel.

Yeah, Maroon5 is pretty horrible.

For the first time last night I heard a Linkin Park/Jay-Z song on the radio... Awful, awful, awful... ugggh, awful.

I have stopped listening to the radio, besides NPR or Talk Radio. All I know is, whenever I do happen to hear something that is being played on the radio, a little bit of my lunch comes back up. Thank god for internet radio. I just wish you could get it in your car.

^^^ I'll second that. The radio at work is kept on a pop station by the will of the majority. I'll hear that song no less than 6 times over the course of an 8 hour shift.

i dont know why exactly.
i have a couple cds on my itunes, which i copied for specific tracks without bothering to delete the others.
on the tracks i was after, the quartet does not play.
everything that features the quartet actually playing really really irritates me.
i understand that they are a kind of new music lite outfit that has done quite a bit to help introduce people to that world.
and i understand that they are individually really good players.
but i fucking hate them.

EDIT: Alanis Morisette! I hate her... and nothing in that "Ironic" song is actually ironic. Rain on your wedding day? A traffic jam when you're already late? A no-smoking sign on your cigarette break? That just sucks.

Nothing! I'm anti-commercial and damn proud of it, I don't watch TV or listen to the radio anymore, so the only music i hear is my own, and the only way I expand that is from people who listen to the same music as me. I haven't even heard of half the people/bands/songs on here.

MAROON FUCKING 5! And all that goddamn pop-punk/emo crap that has done everything possible to effectively ruin punk music.

I don't know the Maroon 5 song, but I probably hate that too...

Was watching 50-cent the other night. His new song sucks! And the only reasong they kepp playing it is because he had one hit 2-3 years ago. The rest have been fucking close to shit.

I guess that also goes for about 70% of all other music they're playing on TV...

Maroon 5 gets on my nerves to just about no end... as does Franz Ferdinand. And Alter Bridge, which is really Creed minus the ego.

The White Stripes, and all those similar bands... ugh. In fact, most "The" bands need to go away.

All of these Nickelback / Hoobastank / Breaking Benjamin / Staind crap really really pisses me off. It all sounds the same. It all sounds like crap. There are far better, far more unique bands that make far less money than these jokers.

simple plan is a bunch of whiny pussies, nickleback is annoying to me, and ashlee simpson pisses me off, maroon 5...thats all i need to say
