Nothing much to say here, except that I wanted to brag that I just got home from their final show here in Chicago at the Aragon.

A very good show, they played nothing from "Bossa Nova" and only 2 tracks from "Trompe le Monde". Everything they played was from their earlier catalogue.

If there are still tickets in your town. Go buy them now and watch them. You won't regret it. But beware, the years have not been good to Black Francis' tummy.

You lucky bugger! Never seen them, and I guess I never will. But they are amongst the greats, no doubt.

I saw them at the Virgin music festival and thought it was great...I wasnt a huge Pixies fan before, but I am now...I ahve been listening to Doolittle off the hook lately...

They are playing two shows here in Toronto next week and I can't go.

I saw them years ago on their Trompe le Monde tour... it was just before they broke up and you could feel the tension on the stage. When Kim Deal came up to our campus station for an interview she bristled every time the interviewer asked about Black Francis... on a side note Kim was really cool while I chatted with her in the green room... she liked my Cat in the Hat T-Shirt.

If my wife knew you got to speak with her, she'd be quite jealous. I think Kim Deal is the only woman on this earth who could make my wife a lesbian. Her motto is "I wanna be as cool as Kim Deal."

I never did get to see them before their initial breakup, which was why I was so happy to have the chance. Luckily, there seemed to be a lot of good vibes coming from the stage.

I saw them in Berlin about 4 months back now. One of the best concerts i have ever had the joy to be at. A memory that will stay with me for life i'm sure. Everytime i put an album on it takes me back to the image of me jumping around in the midst of germans hoping i wouldn't lose my digi cam.

Saw 'em open on the Trompe Le Monde opening for U2 a long time ago...almost everyone there was looking at the stage like they were witnessing monkeys throwing feces. A friend of mine was a huge Pixies fan (I'll admit that I only really like them) and he was in ecstacy for about an hour. He then poo-pooed through U2, as he hates them in the most vile way.

Incidentally, have y'all heard that Frank Black Francis CD set that Black Francis released recently? I saw it the other day and bought it. Thought the 1st CD was really interesting.
