a band i really like(the films, hear them at http://www.myspace.com/thefilms) says that they play a guitar and a BVG. what in the blue blazes is a bvg?

Background vocals; the two guys listed as BVG aren't the lead singer.

That sounds right to me, except it's probably BGV instead of BVG.

Yeah, that makes sense. Unless they invented some cool ass Baritone Guitar Violin and both of those guys play them. That would be cool too. But unlikely.
