Roger Waters -- New Music
There's been discussion off and on for about the last year that Roger had been working on some stuff for a new "rock" album, but then things heated up with his Opera 'Ca Ira' and talk of the rock album kinda died down.
However, sometime in late July Mark Fenwick (Roger's manager) got the word out to a few websites that Roger was recording 2 new songs inspired by the US invasion of Iraq, and that those 2 songs would be made available on his offical site http://www.roger-waters.com/ "To Kill A Child" and "Leaving Beirut" are the first studio recording from Roger in almost 3 years. On the songs Roger himself plays guitar, keyboards, bass, and provides the lead vocals. I know there are a few Pink Floyd/Roger Waters fans on the TFP and thought t y'all might wanna take a listen: http://www.roger-waters.com/ Jadey  |

Awesome, awesome. They're alot more lyric based.

i'll have to check them out. I liked 2 of his 3 solo albums

They are okay, but sometimes I wish Roger wouldn't try so hard to be so political. He seems to be trying to send a message, too hard in my opinion. Oh well, I'll buy the album when it comes out.
Derwood, let me guess which one you didn't like: Radio KAOS? |
ya' know..........i'm a big Gilmour fan,and ........i think Roger should chill out......the two of them oughta bury the hatchet, and get on with a new "FLOYD" album.........
bring on the real Floyd........ |
If only it were just that easy. It sounds like David - Rick - Nick get along, and Roger - Nick - Rick now get along, but the problem is David - Roger and seems like there is just too much bad blood there still.
At this point I'd be happy with the most recent incarnation putting out something new. |
I think the songs are great. I'm a huge Floyd fan now and I want every album....But I don't care if Rodger is on em or not...I'm a big enough fan of David's solo work
