At The Drive-In
 

Just joined up. Anyways, I have been listening to At The Drive-In lately and they are wicked awesome. I have a video of them playing, and they have sooo much energy. Unfortunatly, they have already broken up, and have been since I'm guessing 2001. The rest of the band members have broken up into 2 diffrent groups. The Mars Volta(Awesome) and Sparta(Like a diluted At The Drive-In) Oh well, at least I found out about them right?

I met these guys a time or two and hung out with them when they were opening up for my Uncle's band in Hell Paso. The guys are alright, I'm personally not a fan of the music and think it blows turd, but they have a following, people like em, and if they are making music people like then cheers to them.

I loved At The Drive-In, can't stand The Mars Volta though. Never listened to sparta, i'll have to give them a chance if they sound like At The Drive-In.

You ever hear of Boy Hits Car? they were around a few years back and put on an amazing live show and had some good tunes. Kind of like At The Drive-In. Check out their page http://www.boyhitscar.com/ not sure what they are up to, think they had some troubles with band members, might be broken up. Have all their songs on their page in decent quality.. I suggest "As I Watch The Sun Fuck the Ocean"

Yes, Boy Hits Car kicks ass as well (although I sort of grew out of them). Check out stuff from the My Animal CD too, very good stuff. I don't think they've broken up, but I did hear that they replaced one of the members... the drummer, maybe? They've been working on a new album for quite some time now, but no word on a release date or anything. Why do all the bands I like do this sort of thing (see: Tool)?

Bear Vs. Shark sounds somewhat like ATDI. Early ATDI

Sparta has a new album comming out soon as dose The Mars Volta, but the mars volta one is live and only has a few songs.

Like ATDI, Love Sparta, can't stand the Mars Volta.

The mars volta are pretty good, and I like 'One armed scissor by ATDI' haven't listened to anything from Sparta yet though, I might give em a go one day

Anyways, yeah, ATDI rock, but this has been established. In Casino/Out is an awesome album.

I dont really know about sparta. I like them, but the more and more i listen to them, just something. I think its that it starts out with such a kick ass song, then the tempo just kinda goes downhill. I just want to hear something new from them.

I love At The Drive In especially Star Slight, one of their most kick ass songs IMO.

I haven't listen to much Mars Volta. Just some stuff my friend has but it was pretty kick ass. They've (mars Volta) have done work with John Frusciamte. (yes I am a RHCP whore. How I love them.
