anyone know any songs that would you would associate these with..?
ok, i really like songs like oasis - champagne supernova, mr. e's beautiful eyes, the red, and most stuff by nirvana. i like incubus a lot too, there's more but you get the idea. maybe i'm just weird but there's something about these songs that they have in common. if you think you have any idea about what i'm talking about, then would you care to name a few you think i might like? if you don't have a clue about what i'm saying, then nevermind, i'm probably just weird :P thx

all the bands have attractive singers?
|
Well, you are from Tennesee, so ya got to be wierd - just kidding.
It seems to me that all of these songs have a sort of "grand quality" to them. I not sure if you know what I mean by that, but I get what you mean about their being a thread amongst them. This may be off beat, but do you like Queen, much of their music (though different) has this same quality to me. Do you like Radiohead - "fake plastic trees" comes to mind. I'll put more thought into it and see what I can come up with. |
U2 where the streets have no names and the canyon behind her by dredg

try some oleander, U2, and Better Than Ezra
|
Oleander is the only one I would argue against in the list mentioned so far...of course, I've only heard one single from them and that was so long ago I don't remember its name, so you can discredit my thought if you like.

They all seem to be just intellectual and thought provoking songs to me. Maybe thats not what you're driving at, but that is how I always viewed them, and in terms of intellectual music, there's always good old Coldplay, and the new-to-the-mainstream Snow Patrol.
|
actually, cold play is in that list of music i was trying to post here - just forgot to put them ;) i'm gonna try to find some shit by snow patrol, thx bro
