11,573 Files, 1,275 Folders That's my folder of album sorted mp3 files. My other is all downloaded trance and classical: 19.8 GB (21,362,755,855 bytes) I put together a playlist once of everything and it was over 1,000 hours. My CD collection is in a closet now... when I get a CD, the first thing I do with it is rip it to 256k mp3. I remember the first mp3 I downloaded was 'Sabotage' by the Beastie Boys in... get this, 1997. It was bleading edge technology then, Winamp was in Beta! |

156 Gigabytes of MP3s with atleast 13 gigabyte being vinyl -> mp3 conversions of bands like Shikabane, Agathocoles(did a wonderful split 7" which got me into it. The majority being Aggressive Metal, the rest Electronic, Jazz, Classical, some Rap, bluegrass.

Well, between me and my wife we had about 13GB of them on the old computer. A lot of them were live bootlegs and BSides that are hard to find on CD. The hard drive failed so we lost all of that. In the 3 weeks I've had my new one, I've found about 3GB so far. When I get around to it, I'll start putting our CDs on the computer. That will take a while because we have about 300 cds.

Update: About 500-600 MB of songs. Proably about 100 songs.
Again about 300 MB of that are George Carlin shows. Hey- I'm growing though. I remember having all the Beatles CD's on my hard drive on my old computer, jeez, it was like 5GB and it slowed down my comp like 3X. Deleted all of it and it was faster. |
