anti fishstick 12-07-2003 01:16 AM

yes christina aguilera.
and some pink songs

*laughs*

a friend and i have our pop vices we're embarassed about. so we have this thing where we'll buy eachother what we want, so we can say it's for someone else.

currently, we're going to give eachother the new christina aguilera cd for xmas :-D

Mr.Deflok 12-07-2003 02:11 AM

Hahaha! You guys are losers!

I like some Aguilera songs too, yet I love Fear Factory, Type O Negative, Smashing Pumpkins, David Bowie... bands that are the complete opposite of her style...

tomdom 12-07-2003 04:20 AM

pink, shes just so good

Destrox 12-07-2003 05:19 AM

A very very select few pop songs, and more country then I'd like to admit :P

And my heart truely reaches out to Rock, Metal, and Punk.

Oh well, I can still say I hate rap.

ARTelevision 12-07-2003 05:34 AM

I'm about as anti-religious as ya can get.

But - I like Black Gospel music and I like Bluegrass Gospel music a lot. Go figure?!

bought that some weeks back and like a good portion of it.
My music collection - between physical formats and various digital formats - includes everything from:
-Sinatra/Crosby
- Rap
-country in various forms
-ragtime from 1900 on
-shitload of jazz and swing from all eras
-contemporary christian music up to 1995
-Wham!, Spice Girls, and others in that category
-heavy metal and softer stuff
-bluegrass/gospel
- and at least a small something from most of the other genres that were not mentioned above

not ashamed of liking any of it.

boxcarracer277 12-07-2003 05:21 PM

There's nothing I won't admit to liking. I think that labeling music and being confined to certain genres is very stupid. Most of what I listen to is punk, and theres so many people out there that are so close-minded and won't listen to anything else. Sure, there's things I don't like, but I'm not gonna miss out on something just to be cool and be accepted in the scene.

Kaos 12-07-2003 06:45 PM

I like Avril Lavigne's "I'm With You"

And most of Shania Twain (for the music)

brandon11983 12-07-2003 07:12 PM

Britney Spears... and not just cuz I want to nail her
Robyn
Aqua... Hiya Barbie... Hi Ken!!!
Spice Girls.... good god
Backstreet Boys... early stuff
Blink 182... very early stuff
Good Charlotte... very early stuff
Bone Thugs 'n Harmony... East 1999/Eternal
Sum 41... All Killer, No Filler

Thats all I can bare to share right now... I'm going to to kick my ass now.

You should not be embarassed at liking those two.

And for my own. I guess Ludacris perhaps. He's just so hilarious. And while I'm at it, whenever I'm with some of my girl friends, I have to sing along with Nsync or Britney or whatever they decide to put on. Luckily I've influenced them much more with AFI and punkish roots than they have influenced me with pop.

lordjeebus 12-07-2003 10:28 PM

I absolutely love early 90s pop-rap.

MC Hammer, Naughty by Nature, DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, Salt-N-Pepa, Sir Mix-A-Lot, Montell Jordan, Kris Kross, House of Pain, LL Cool J, Marky Mark, Snow...

The best pop music ever.

Where have you gone, early-90's style pop-rap?

laconic1 12-08-2003 09:04 AM

I hate to admit this, but I love cheesy '80s pop, and hair bands.

vonstalhein 12-08-2003 02:24 PM

Blink kick ass!

I mean...er...

I hate to admit i like Autobahn....

Jadey 12-08-2003 10:58 PM

I'm not afraid to admit I like any type of music. Is there some music that I think is not very good, but am still strangely drawn too? Hell Yes! But I'm not about to be ashamed of my taste in music.

Averett 12-09-2003 07:11 AM

I own up to all my guilty pleasure music. I even caught myself half singing along to the new Clay Aiken song. Yikes.

Sho Nuff 12-09-2003 09:39 AM

Pink

Kelly Clarkson

Dido

Justin Timberlake

Derwood 12-09-2003 12:16 PM

George Michael.

Yep.

monkeydriven 12-09-2003 07:57 PM

Xtina. She has a great voice and is nice to look at too. Gotta admit, I like her.

Kush 12-10-2003 07:57 AM

Justin Timberlake. He makes me feel funky.

bluearmy 12-10-2003 11:07 AM

I am really into the rock scene but I have to admit having, Cat Stevens; Simon & Garfunkel; Gallagher & Lyle amoungst others in my music collection. I can't say that I'm embarassed about them but if I'm honest its not really cool music to admit to, but what the hell I like what I like.

la petite moi 12-11-2003 10:29 AM

I'm not embarassed to admit what music I like. If someone has a problem with it....oh well.

druptight 12-11-2003 04:51 PM

blink-182, i've been listsening to them since their first album came out, they're just too fun not to, although the new album is different!

Mael 12-11-2003 05:59 PM

i like kenny rogers. i think pretty much everyone likes "the gambler," but i also like his other songs like "the greatest," "coward of the county," "lucielle," and he has a version of the song from the big lebowski "just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in" or whatever its' called.

kajagoogoo 12-11-2003 07:12 PM

That damn Beyonce Song...what a bootay!

kwoodmex 12-11-2003 10:53 PM

anything and everything 80s, i've caught myself listening to the local 80s station way too much. The 80s are so damn good...

MSD 12-11-2003 11:51 PM

I would probably be moshed to death if I admittied to some people that I like Linkin Park; the people who would do the killing have most likely never seen them perform live.

146519 12-12-2003 08:35 AM

The Sweet Home Alabama song

mml 12-12-2003 10:28 AM

While I am not really embarassed by anything I listen to, I have to admit that I really like REO Speedwagon and Barry Manilow but do not bring it up too often.

InTeGrA77 12-12-2003 10:56 AM

i like blink-182 a lot too, although they still act as if they're teenagers. hmm...what else am i embarassed to admit...no doubt, the gorillaz, will smith, (god i feel stupid) and justin timberlake (senorita) "IT FEELS LIKE SOMETHINS' HEATIN UP!!!"...anyways, i'm about about to the point of killing myself now, i'm gonna go die

Cobalt_60 12-14-2003 06:20 PM

Tori Amos. Hooked up with a girl one time that was really into her. A few of her songs are really good. I just feel weird listening to her stuff with people around. Heh.

PeaceFrog 12-15-2003 04:50 PM

Sometimes i find myself enjoying some System of a Down songs... yeah... and old blink 182. I find that pretty embarassing.

Avril Lavigne
Bon Jovi
Britney Spears
Christina Augilera
Dixie Chicks
Fiona Apple
Hillary Duff
Hootie & The Blowfish (all 5 cds even)
Jessica Simpson
N'Sync
Sheryl Crow
Stacie Orrico
Third Eye Blind
Wilshire

Let me just state that I am not really embarassed to admit I like this stuff, but most people are embarrassed that I have it. :)

imperfect_anya 12-18-2003 11:19 PM

Oh my. I kinda even hate to admit it, but I really do like The Carpenters...(eep!) from the late 60's early 70s. But I will gladly admit to my liking for a lot of pop music and even rap.

sartan 12-26-2003 07:09 AM

Bon Jovi is awesome. Some of Britney's and Xtina's song aren't bad.

nefarious 12-27-2003 06:42 PM

cheezy love songs. . "you are so beautiful" ...

that annoying song that says "i dont wanna run away but i cant take it, blah blah " ...

i hate them .. but always listen ..... backstreet boyz

eggh .. just so you know .. i'm a huge classic rock and Manson and sevendust fan ... heh heh

lions20 12-31-2003 10:55 AM

I am a fan of the Grease Soundtrack but I usually follow it up with some Slipknot.

Tophat665 12-31-2003 12:01 PM

Embarrassed? I used to be a bit embarrassed when I'd be belting out Baby One More Time in the car (a 300lb guy with a bass voice) and someone pulled up beside.

Sometimes I'm embarrassed that I like some of Eminem's stuff, but that more to do with Eminem than the music. Ditto Michael Jackson.

monkeydriven 01-07-2004 05:49 AM

Happy tappin' with Elmo

h2ogo69 01-10-2004 02:16 PM

ill admit it... i love blink 182

Yalaynia 01-10-2004 02:34 PM

I cant say theres anything Im ashamed to admit I like as far as music goes. I like a lot of music anything from the 70's to now and some even older then that.
I may not like the group , person , or the whole cd of even one of my favorite groups. But thats not to say that theres not going to be 1 or 2 songs that I just have to have.
Bob Segar - Old Time Rock and Roll - used to be the song my mom would play for me just to get me to sleep when I was a baby.
Jimmy Gilmer and The Fireballs - Sugar Shake - I new the base guitar player. Still see him everyonce in a while too.
I dont know if theres anything else by Bob Segar I like. As far as Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs Sugar Shake goes I think that was just a one hit wonder.

cowlick 01-13-2004 10:09 PM

I'm not so embarassed as others are embarrased by me...
I like easy listening music!
I love Harry Belafonte.

Fallen 01-29-2004 05:39 PM

One more vote for Justin Timberlake. My wife makes fun of me because it is so outside my usual taste. I can't help it. He's got some funk. ;)

shimmy1 01-29-2004 05:53 PM

I like to bop my head to No Doubt and Pink every now and again.

In a manly way, of course.

Grondar 01-29-2004 06:56 PM

No Doubt
80's Music (tho I am comfortable admitting that)
Shania Twain
Bloodhound Gang (again, not ashamed of that tho, but they are questionable, I guess)
Michelle Branch
Vertical Horizon

CinnamonGirl 01-29-2004 11:15 PM

Most of the music my husband makes fun of me for listening to (80s pop and new wave, 60s and 70s poppy folk stuff), I'm not ashamed of...however...*looks around* I've been known to sing along...loudly...to Britney, Nsync, Avril, New Kids on the Block, and Debbie Gibson (although, in my defense, I grew up with the last two, so it's more nostalgic than anything :D )

illesturban 01-30-2004 11:58 AM

I ain't even gonna lie... I'm actually both a Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera fan. You have to admit these two are pretty talented singers. I even *gasp* went to their co-headlining tour last summer; lmfaooooo.

01-30-2004 01:15 PM

The only song I care for from Aguilera is "beautiful"

Justin- eh, some of his songs are catchy.

I like 98degrees- my husband's & my wedding song was "I do"

essendoubleop 01-30-2004 09:37 PM

I don't know if embarrased it the right word, but I think I should have grown out of "Savages" from Pocahontas, and the entire "Sounds from the Pride" CD from Lion King.

bigbad 01-31-2004 03:30 AM

h2ogo69 02-02-2004 12:16 PM

justin's "rock yo body" was good

i like eddie grant - electric avenue

"gonna walk on through electric avenue
and then we'll take it higher"

gorilla 02-03-2004 04:03 PM

Prince - when doves cry
Mike Jackson - thriller, billie jean, beat it
TATu - All the things she said (reminds me of lezbos)
some random Avril, Britney, and Christina

I'm a big Nirvana and Mudvayne fan and I feel like I've just lost all of my authenticity as a rocker

jasonresno 02-03-2004 07:13 PM

m2k 02-12-2004 11:53 AM

BoomTruck 02-12-2004 12:53 PM

Just a few CD's that don't quite fit with everything else...

Alabama
GWAR
Chumbawamba
The Hillbilly Tribute to AC/DC (Highway to Hell is hilarious when set to bluegrass)

AfterBurn 02-12-2004 02:21 PM
