after replying to a thread before, about how my ex hated me listening to Opeth (partly the reason why she is an ex), a thought popped in my head.

Compare what you listen to compared to your partner does. how does it contrast?

It may not be a big issue, but curious nonetheless. Getting laid to great tunes has always been highly regarded to me, nothing better than musical-induced stamina cuz you've stopped and listened to a kickass riff or attempted an evil scream leading upto ejaculation.

Everything i listen to she had never even heard of before.
She loves almost all of it now. I am lucky in that sense. We never disagree when it comes to music.

I listen to hip hop, rock, heavy metal, classic rock, and alternative. My wife listens to country (which) drives me crazy.

I have completely different tastes than she has. However, we each know which styles can NOT be knocked in any way by the other partner, and we respect that.

i'm right there with cub. i listen to heavy metal, alternative, house, classical, jazz, and a little pop.. she listens to radio pop and country. she pretty much cant stand any of my music, but me.. ever looking to expand my horizons.. has learned to accept some of hers. i've actually been to a country bar!

oh the humanity!

I usually listen to country or talk radio, but will listen to everything. She listens to almost everthing on the dial except for talk radio.

She listens to hip hop, rap, top 40, none of which I can stand.
I listen to everything from classic rock, progressive rock, grunge, heavy metal, classical, and even some country

We get along musically rather well. I'm a big hardcore fan, and she is responding quite well to it. She is more of a poppy punk girl. So far she's enjoyed Coheed and Cambria, In Pieces, Taking Back Sunday, and Boys Night Out.

I listen to most anything, but my g/f is into poppy stuff...I can tolerate most of it, but some of the stuff she likes drives me up a wall. The same goes for her, too. She can't stand quite a bit of what I like. We just make fun of each other's music, and it all works out. :D

ME:
White Stripes, Strokes, Hives, Vines, Beatnuts, etc.

Suffice to say, in our house headphones are mandatory

I like hard rock, she likes easy listening rock.

my wifes taste and my taste very rarely match up , in fact there is one group that we can't agree on at all , she loves queen and i cant stand them
