Whats your workout music?

Whenever I go to workout, be it on the treadmill, bike, or rower, I always like to have some music with me. What do you like to listen to while you are working out?

I sometimes listen to Rage Against the Machine. Also, while I wont listen to them when not working out, I have found that Linkin Park works pretty well. I dont like their music otherwise, but it is good for working out because it doesnt require much brain-power to listen to, is loud enough to drown out other noises, and is fast enough to keep you up to pace.

I like heavy stuff when lifting & working out... i.e. Pro-Pain, Sevendust etc...

It depends. I cycle the stuff every week or so. Right now I'm listening to a lot of stuff from DJ Irene and DJ Z-trip.

I just changed that out this weekend. I had a mix of stuff from Mushroomhead, Motograter, Sevendust, Type O Negative, Boy Hits Car, Static-X, Slipknot, Hemlock, and The Distillers.

80's rock and metal

Hey, I'm 40 years old. It's the music of my youth.

Rage, Ludacris, Rammstein, Redman Ice Cube

Linkin park always manages to get me hyped up, or does 12 Stones (awesome band!) basically anything that keeps me going and not thinkin about workin out

My gym has bikes with headphone jacks. You bring your CD in, put it in the player that corresponds to the bike you're using, and can bike without having to worrying about your CD skipping.

I can see how Linkin Park can get you going, I'm not a fan myself, but whenever I hear them, my blood starts rushing. I usually listen to Jungle, although I'm not a huge Jungle fan otherwise.

Dance type music, that doesn't slow down. There's nothing worse than working out to music and then all of a sudden, the music goes into some mellow, groovy stuff when you're in the middle of a zone.

Eye of the Tiger on repeat ;)

Sevendust and Metallica. Working out is really the only time I listen to metal

JohnnyRock 12-05-2003 09:09 AM

I'm all about the Metal when I'm lifting [Metallica, Motley Crue--lots of 80s metal]...listen to Howard Stern on my morning runs, though

Finchie 12-05-2003 09:07 PM

Rock, punk, some rap...anything that has a fast beat.
