Don't know, but I wish he hadn't left coz the new guy doesn't sound as good. Still good, but not AS good.

howard jones from blood has been shed isn't even close to being as good as jesse leach, but what can you do?? and to top it off kse's drummer left and they brought in the drummer from blood has been shed. killswitch is one of the best bands ive ever heard and i don't want them going down the shitter!

jesse leach is in a new band. despite having been to the band's website and listening to a few of their songs, i can't remember the name. i do, however, remember that he essentially has dropped screaming from his vocal repitoire and the band is rather mid-tempo and bland. if anyone can rediscover the band's name, please post it up.

on a side note, howard jones was pretty damn good live... and "when darkness falls" is a pretty sweet track (KsE's contribution to the freddy v jason soundtrack, if you haven't caught it)

man that's sad to hear jesse doesn't scream anymore, he had one of the best screams in the business, but along with it he could sing with the best of them, i would still like to hear his new band.. i agree that howard jones is damn good live and darkness falls is fucking awesome, i just don't think he compares to jesse..

The new singer for Killswitch is a better 'singer' IMO, and is pretty good at the screams. But I agree he just doesn't match up with the old singer.

You try screaming for a living

Lets see how long your career lasts.

In a business where you get rich quick and spend it just as fast (for some), having a future and maintaining assets are very important.

For example, James Hetfield towards the "black" album, decided that he was going to save his voice and take singing lessons. This birthed a new style of singing for James and he has continued singing for 20 Years.

Case and point.

Yeah, and Metallica has sucked since.

Personally... I like the way Jones sings/screams for Killswitch a lot better.

Don't ask me why, I just like his delivery more. *shrug*

Fun with math:

The "Black" album came out in 1991.
It is currently 2003.

2003 - 1991 = 12.

12 =/= 20.
