What anime has the best theme and ending musics?
 

My vote would go for "Cowboy Bebop". I love "Tank" the intro for it and I love "The Real Folk Blues" even more. 'Bebop has good music all the way through.

What do you guys think?

The end theme to Gundam Seed is really quite good.
And same with it's first opening theme (there's three)

Dammit. I'm going to hate myself for saying this, but SAILOR MOON. And not the english version. The original Japanese versiono. I really can't explain it, but it is rather nice to listen to.

What about Slayers, or maybe Gatekeepers, or Chobits?

Though If you have ever seen the series Hellsing.. those OST's are awesome if goth glam rock is your thing.

The holy manga trilogy (Akira, Ghost in the Shell and Ninja Scroll) have excellent soundtracks, especially Akira. As for others, I like the simplicity of the "Hakkenden" soundtrack and the jazzy sounds of "Gunsmith Cats".

i agree with Tantalizer - i think Spirited Away and Mononoke had great music.

and for that classic ending music...Neon Genesis.

I gotta agree about Bebop, I love it and i'll second the Hellsing vote too since i'm an unoriginal bastard.

I liked the songs from Wing Gundam also but that might just be me.

Bebop has got some good tunes, but what about Read or Die it has got one of the best opening themes.
Boogiepop Phantom and S. E. Lain has also got top tunes on their OSTs

Seriously though, maybe the outro music from Here & There, Now & Then?

I have to go with the endings of Rurouni Kenshin and Inuyasha. Those two just have a feel to them that I really like.

Like said above, Bebop and Trigun definately have awesome theme music. But how can you forget Ranma 1/2? I've gotten that stuck in my head so many times it's not funny...

All the music in Cowboy Bebop is cool, not just the ending and opening themes. Yoko Kanno really knows what she's doin'. Hell, everything about Bebop is awesome.

first season, right? i listed that as my favorite. the other season's theme songs simply don't compare, although i do think the third season's is cute.

I would have to say the greatest poppy pop song would be the Fancy La La intro ..

as for the one with the best beginning n ending .. i think Evangelion is pretty good.

i also like You're Under Arrest's songs.. there are a ton of great anime songs ^_^

Samurai Champloo, I hate when a decent Anime has really unsuitable fruity tunes. Stand Alone Complex and Mezzo DSA are fantastic too.

I love the Ghost in the Shell soundtrack.

Ghost in shell is certainly number one for me.

But recently i have really enjoyed Paranoia Agent's opening song

Some of my favorite anime music is from the series Noir. The music is done by Yuki Kajiura, who also did the music for .hack//sign.

Oh man, I love that song! I sang that forever when I got the Beserk series. The Street Fighter movie also has a great soundtrack......................Sailor Moon too..........What! :o

I agree with Beebop for ending though.

Cowboy Bebop has by far the best soundtrack/themes/ending musics/music in general out of any anime I've ever seen. Granted, I'm not a huge anime watcher, but something about Bebop makes me tingly inside when I hear the music. It's perfect for the series and is top notch. The regular tunes from episode to episode are just as good as the scores (ex. Ballad of Fallen Angels), I can't give a vote to anything but CB on this one :thumbsup:

Naruto has some really good opening themes in some seasons but every season seems to have remarkably bad closing themes. Cowboy Bebop has excellent music all around, especially the opening theme. NGE has the classic opening theme that is basically immortalized on the Internet.

Oh man, i cant STAND the opening to NGE... its just... grating. The battle theme however, its totally cool.

Great Teacher Onizuka has some great intro music--"Driver's High" by L'arc un Ciel. It's funny because it's mostly a rock song all in Japanese, but like typical J-pop the chorus features some English phrases.

I have to agree with everyone who's mentioned the music from Cowboy Bebop. Definitely some of my favorite stuff.

I have to agree with you whole heartedly. All the music throughout the whole series was perfect IMO. I guess I'm not too experienced in the realm of anime, but it seems a lot of the music is bubbly pop type stuff, and I can't really get into it, but with CB, it seems like they put a lot of thought into the music.

I am also really diggin the hip-hop they have going on for Samurai Champloo.

Holy Jebus Christ I'm not the only person who's seen GTO! It sure does have some great tunes.

I like the second theme song better, by Porno Grafiti.

Outlaw star has a fun opening theme song. Hellsing has a great opening.

Still, my vote goes with Cowboy Beebop. Everytime I hear "The Real Folk Blues", I feel like crying. I don't know why. No other song I hear makes me want to cry, and I"m a freaking music major. "Tank" makes me want to rock out.

I'll put my vote in for Trigun - I played it with some strangers at an anime convention in Baltimore last summer...hard as hell! But it came off ok, we managed to get it out before security asked us whose electricity we were using!?!!?
That aside, I think I should mention that I've never seen Trigun or any anime before...so I probably only make up 3/5s of a vote.

Not that these three haven't been mentioned, but in my opinion, it doesn't get any better than Furi Kuri, Samurai Champloo, and Cowboy Bebop. Not only the opening and ending songs for these, but also for the songs in the episodes.

Outlaw Star easily has the best ending themes. There's just two, buy they rock my socks so hard I have to buy a new pair every time I finish watching an episode.

EDIT: Wow... I wonder what ever happened to TerresqueÜ.

If you count movies, then Tekken. Otherwise, the title/credits and the intermission music for Tokyo 2040 is really cool and catchy.
