Bass technique
Anybody know where i can go online for some good bass instructions, for a recent beginner
thanks -SImo |
Only one I know of is activebass.com. I haven't used this site but they have another one called wholenote.com that is for guitar. It has some pretty good info on it. The bass site should be just as good. Good luck with it!

there's a book you might want to buy too... this one's rather good, give a good overview of different styles along with the history of bass, innovaters, etc.
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=books and this is a good technique book... http://www.halleonard.com/item_detai...=bass+fitness+ |

try going to tabcrawler then go to the bass sections and i believe they have many tutorials. if you're willing to spend a little money may i suggest subscribing to bass player magazine

Really though
The best thing you can do is find a friend who has played guitar or bass their entire life, and learn from them. It's more casual than lessons, but still motivating since you don't want to look like a tool. That's how I learned. |
