Looking for fresh, new and invigorating metal
 

I am Looking for some recommendations (single tracks, albums, bands, downloads, anything!)
Something you’ve heard recently which has blown you away, something genuinely original and cutting edge.
Metalcore stuff Like converge and minus or more technical bands like A life once lost, Botch and Dillinger escape plan or just stripped down focused stuff like pelican, will haven and Isis.
I am open minded and I will look into everything suggested.

PIG (Check out the tracks "Sanctuary (Spent Sperm Mix)" from his album Wrecked, and "Blades (KMFDM Mix)" from The Swining/Red, Raw and Sore). Or SCHWEIN, formed by the frontman of PIG but with Sascha K. from KMFDM and a couple of other folks. It's like PIG for a Japanese audience.

These are nothing like thoose bands, But check out Nekromantix, and Os Catalepticos. They got me hooked.

I dont know a whole lot abput the above but I highly recommend "In the Meantime" By Spacehog. Its a very solid, well constructed song. Do yourself a favour & check it out.

Dunno how original the nekromantix are ... but if you like them ... check out tiger army hersick ... one band that just blew me away (and many others on this board) were the Mars Volta. Check out all of the album De-Loused in the Comatorium. Freaking genius. and for simple focused stuff i love Damien Rice. The Blower's Daughter is so beautiful. hope this helps
