So are they busting for people for burning yet?
My Uncle just called me up to tell me to stop burning because Windows Media Player sends data that shows what files are being burned and you can get caught. Is there ANY truth to this? I've disabled sharing on KaZaA and have WASTE as an emergency backup, but there's hardly any files on there.

If you are truly paranoid about it, switch to a different Media Player. Like Musicmatch from http://www.musicmatch.com or even Winamp from http://classic.winamp.com
Windows Media Player 'does' send stuff back to someone, but you can probably turn it off somehow. Otherwise, just stop using it :D |

Winamp is much cooler anyways, cept for playing video files..
