STP + Gn'R = goodness
not sure if this will interest people as much as it does me, but here goes anyway:
caught MTV news the other day and there was a story about the members of the original Gn'R line-up (Slash, Duff, Izzy, Matt). apparently they're holding auditions for singers for a group they're calling "The Project" for now. Sebastian Bach (sp?) was one of 2 front-runners, but Scott Wieland seems to be the number 1 choice at this moment. now STP is possibly my all-time favorite band, with Gn'R not far behind. i think it would be great to see wieland record and album (and maybe tour) with Slash before heading back to the studio with STP. |
that sounds like it could be a decent gig.
Axl can go fuck himself...... the project eh,i'll watch out for it thanx |
Definitely something worth waiting for. I'd love to hear what they come up with. Granted Weiland is awesome, G-n-R isn't my fav. but I give them a lot of respect and credit. I'd like to hear what happens. Something I'll keep in mind to keep an eye out for.

Asshole...er I mean Axl sucked. I never liked his voice. That reminds me, I started a post about favorite guitar players and I left Slash out.... I can't believe it.... How could I forget Slash!

hmm...i smell horrible comeback...
Weiland should work on the new album... I saw him live, he had some idiot get kicked out for flicking him off for 30 minutes...was really funny...stopped in the middle of a song, "Would you like to fuck me? Is that what you're saying, well, i don't swing that way" then had him booted after the song... then he said "Thank you to all the BEAAAAUTIFUL PEOPLE here who enjoy the music" and we all went nuts Lotsa fun...i love STP |
one of the times i saw STP, some jackass in the audience thought it was cool to throw his shoes up onstage. he tried to hit dean when he was soloing during "Tripping on a Hole in a Paper Heart" and then tried to hit Wieland during "Plush." without breaking stride at all, Wieland caught the shoe and launched it back at the dude in the audience. then after the song he said something to the effect of "i don't condone violence, but if anyone wants to beat the shit out of that guy, i'll look the other way."
anyway, if you haven't seen STP live and they hit the road again, see them. i haven't heard a bad word about their live performance, and i certainly don't have one to add myself. |
Original Guns N Roses...with Scott Weiland???
I just found out that the original members of G'N'R have recruited Scott Weiland from Stone Temple Pilots to front the band. That sounds pretty cool. I don't have the details yet, all I know is that they are going by the name Reloaded. I think a more suitable name would be The Heroin Washups. Any way, I was a huge fan of both those bands in their heyday...it'll be interesting to see what becomes of it....anyone else got any info on this?

i hope scott doesn't drop STP, they KICK ASS
|
He'll be in rehab by August again anyway.....
|
I've gotta say, I love Scott Weiland with STP, but he'd be great with Slash & the boys, too. I really want to see some kind of work from Slash again that's truly major label, stuff I could get at a record store without special ordering. ;)

This is sad. :( I can't stand Gn'R. To me, they represented everything that was wrong with music in the late 80's early 90's. Then Nirvana came along and made goodness. Now, having to watch these fucktards take the singer from one of my favorite bands sucks. I'm not saying that they're bad musicians because Slash is an incredible guitar player, I'm just saying that in my oppinion they need to take Sebastian Bach and leave STP alone.

Sorry, I was wrong, he's in rehab by May
