One of the defining relationships of my life was a long-term romance with a serious Beatlemaniac. Once she left, I had to put their songs away. Had to do the same for Simon & Garfunkel, Heart and Kansas. It was much too painful to listen to them. I have to admit that this state lasted for most of a decade.

For the most part, nothing's really been ruined for me... but I'm not very fond of Blues Traveler or ELO anymore. "Evil Woman" is still great, since that was "mine" before we got together, but the entire Out of the Blue album just makes me go "...meh."

I'm sorry to hear that. When I get tired of "Out of the Blue" I play "Eldorado" instead. Or better yet, "Time"...what wonderful concept albums they both were. |
