There's a story behind this... It's a song that purposely nobody can understand to illustrate the fact the world still cannot effectively communicate. More or less, paraphrased. |
oil raigh! I have seen then over 100times in the last year!

Actually, it's a song that was made to illustrate what English sounds like to non-English speakers.

It almost makes sense.

false (universal) languages
Yeah, the song has a point, as dictated by the brief Italian-spoken preface to the American-variety-parody music video, so the video wasn't just done for "kicks" (although it was quite fun). I agree that although the language spoken probably wasn't real, I'm not all too sure if it wasn't intended to make (non-)sense. (a triple negative sentence fragment, how droll)
On the subject of broaching speech... People have tried: Esperanto and the Eggheads And there were originators: Aristotle and the Atlanteans. as well as more popular instances: Yoko Kanno's language barrier and the space divide between Klingons but we still have the "big" players in language, as well as the ever-vanishing ones to account for in this continually burgeoning populus on Earth. maybe the whole point of this experiment and wacky video, is that music, any music at all, is, and always has been, a universal means of communication among tribes? |
