Grad song for middle school 60's theme ?

I've been asked (as an expert lol) to suggest a song for a 9th grade grad to be played on flute for a 60's themed grad.

Since the lyrics won't be heard (flute solo) I'm trying to think of songs with a nice melody too. It should have a solid link to the 60's somehow.

My thoughts so far include....

Stand by Me
Bridge Over Troubled Water (I know - 1970)
He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother
Lean on Me
You'll Never Walk Alone (I know 1945, but was a hit in the 60's too)
In My Life

So please jump into this thread with some good suggestions - thanks !

Mrs. Robinson-- fits the 60s theme and the graduate theme.

California Dreamin' ... nice recognizable melody plus wicked-cool flute solo in the original.
