2003 Dodge Neon, Where to get in-dash CD Player?

Not a single thing on circuit city except a unit that broadcasts on FM channel. I'd like to find a in-dash cd-player, anyone know if they are hard to find or where I could get one? :/

Have you tried Crutchfield? They're quick about listing fitments, as well as coming up with install kits.

Oh, and partsexpress.com for all kinds of stuff. Great for hardware, speakers, parts & tools for custom work.

edit: corrected domain spelling.

Thanks for the link, at first it said there were no CD players for the neon when I first added the car but now there's quite a bit. Strange but may have been a cookie bug or something.

How's the sound on the cd-changers that broadcast on FM? That would be much easier if the sound quality is nice. Just talking factory system here, no subs or anything fansy.

FM works, and you probably won't notice it with entry level gear while you're driving. I've always been bugged by the interference and the compromise in general. Then again, it's easy to uninstall and return if you decide you want wires.

BTW, I fixed the partsexpress url above. Good place for install parts.

I'm a computer guy but have never installed a car stereo. Only thing I like about circuit city is they have free installs if you buy there but they didn't have the in-dash for the neon. That's why I brought up the FM alternative.

If the sount quality is good, I may just go with that for this reason.

Yeah, if you're using a factory head unit, and speakers, the sound quality difference will be negligibile. If you want a better head unit and/or better speakers you'll want to skip the FM modulated unit.
