Hopefully they got many hours of enjoyment out of it first. That's tragic.

that is too bad, I don't suppose that it gives them any consolation whatsoever that the people who designed/built it may have been the pilots as well. That is a big investment, I wonder if you could insure something like that with Lloyds of London or something...?

I think it was a little too windy that last time they flew it. Not to mention the electrical interference that storm must've been causing.

Whoa that a real shame.....After watching that, all I can think is all that money / time up in smoke. I'm sure that was very expensive hobby.

So what happened?

The one foto is captioned "Shot Down?" Is there a consipiracy theory in the works?

Forum link to a thread which fills in what appears to have happened. The final message on page two has a link that actually works, at the moment, and includes the entire flight.

I don't know how to feel, at one point you know the risk you take with this kind of toys. I feel sorry that so much time went down the drane. But, as the RC forum says, they are planning to rebuild it, so we might even see it again

I'm with yellowgowild. From all of the wind noise... it doesn't sound like it was a good day for flying.

I posted a copy of the crash video on my website. http://www.joepilot.net/node/132. Hopefully my server won't melt.
