Have you seen this yet... MT01 Yamaha

I was doing the normal net thing and ran into this........Whoa!!

I don't know if any of TFPers like the Yamaha VMax, but I do! Here is a new model with the VMax engine.

Ive been noticing a departure between styling on European bikes and American/Japanese market bikes. There's this sort of gronky functionality about a lot of the Euro bikes that missing in the American market, and what I've seen of the Japanese market. Things like the Speed Triple, this bike, the bad-ass Super Motard hooligan bikes, etc.

Frankly, I think these bikes are cool as hell, and wish they'd hit US shores. The Speed Triple is here, but I'll be damned if I could tell you where the local Triumph is.

Styling aside, it looks like a nice ride performance-wise. The Warrior (I think the Warrior is the one I'm thinking of) is similarly set-up, with a torquey v-twin and sport-bike-esque suspension and alloy chassis. It is styled as a cruiser though.

It reminds me of a Buell and a Ducati at the same time.

I like it though!

looks like they heard the pounding of Triumph's giant Rocket III behind them! I've always preferred the V-max to the "buzzy" sort of sportbikes anyway.

After reading more about it after I came home from work. I found out it is not a Vmax motor, its a air cool V twin 1600cc or so. I went to Yamaha web site they gave all the details & a nice write up in Cycle World.

Also thinking about the euro bike market, it seems that they lov the Vtwins. For example I read somewhere that the SV650 was a hit in euro, but hardly sold here in the US. Dealers in my area still have some sitting in crates yet.

Man all I can say is I lov all of these bikes, they all have +/- .

I must say that Rocket III is quite impressive too.
